The Gateway Community College (GCC) Athletics held its second annual Alumni Basketball Game on October 29 to support the GCC men’s and woman’s basketball teams.

Gateway students, faculty, staff and alumni gathered for an afternoon of food and sport and raised $765.00 to support the athletic program at GCC. Gateway is the only community college in the state to retain an athletic program. The GCC Lions, men's and women's teams, have enjoyed champion status in the NJCAA leagues throughout the years, and this year the Lady Lions distinguished themselves with the 2016-2017 NJCAA Division III Raning 9th in the nation!

Funds raised cover uniforms and sneakers, travel expenses and referee fees. All donations enhance the overall student-athletic experience while maintaining the connections between Gateway’s athletic department, its alumni, and friends.
