The NewAlliance Foundation Art Gallery is maintained by the Studio Art/Graphic Design Program. The gallery is  strategically located on the ground floor of the campus' South Building, with windows that share its exhibitions with foot traffic on Church Street and George Street. In addition to hosting students’ end-of-the-year projects, the gallery also hosts exhibitions by professional artists.

Gateway Community College celebrated its grand opening and the naming of the NewAlliance Foundation Art Gallery on April 10, 2014, with a new exhibit, "Memory and Legacy," and a program of speakers. The NewAlliance Foundation provides financial support to charitable organizations, addressing diverse community needs in the arts, community development, health and human services, and youth and education. Through the NewAlliance Foundation Art Gallery, GCC will continue to showcase New Haven and its history.
