Five Inducted Into Epsilon Pi Tau Honor Society

Five Gateway Community College (GCC) students and a faculty member were inducted into Epsilon Pi Tau, the International Honor Society for Professions in Technology, on May 5 at Manchester Community College. The students are Benjamin Nnko, Jairo Herrera, Malaika Matumbu, Ronald Silva and Sonya Anahi Perales, and Professor Susan Spencer, who is a program coordinator at the college.

Epsilon Pi Tau recognizes academic and leadership accomplishments in science, technology and engineering. 

Students need at least a 3.0 GPA to be inducted into the program. Jairo Herrera and Malaika Matumbu were inducted into the respective honor society through GCC and Benjamin Nnko, Ronald Silva and Sonya Anahi Perales have been inducted through the Mechanical and Manufacturing Technology for Energy program (MET2) program. MET2 prepares students with entrepreneurial, technological and professional skills required for today’s existing workforce.
