Gales and Livingston Graduate from Greater New Haven Leadership Program

Two GCC employees completed the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Program (LGNH) in 2015. Omar Livingston, Associate Director of Financial Aid, and Allen Gales, Public Affairs Associate, participated in a comprehensive curriculum that included team building, goal setting, negotiation, and other leadership skills. The LGNH program is in its 31 st  year. The six-month program provides hands-on leadership training, management and networking skills from community and business leaders. LGNH is held annually from September to March and participants in LGNH conduct community service projects during the course.

The LGNH class of 2015 included participants from several different agencies: Regional Water Authority, Citizen’s Bank, United Illuminating and Gateway Community College, among others. Omar Livingston worked with The CT Food Bank and Allen Gales worked coordinating volunteers for literacy.
