Gateway Community College is pleased to announce that Kim Shea, former director Enrollment Management, has accepted the position of Human Services Program Coordinator. Shea joined the GCC family in 1994 as a member of the counseling staff and was eventually transferred to the admissions office where she successfully led a dedicated team through the remarkable growth trend that resulted in Gateway becoming the largest community college in the state.

Shea has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University, and has worked in the field since 1981.

Shea also joins the social science faculty and looks forward to “working not only with the students in human services, but also with the Greater New Haven community and area universities to foster strong collaborations that will lead to employment and transfer opportunities for our students.”

The college community congratulates her on her new appointment.
