Share

Daniel Fuller, an assistant automotive technology professor at Gateway and an automotive technician at West Chevrolet in Woodbury, was honored November 14 with a national achievement award as the Motor Age Training/ASE Master Automobile & L1 Technician of the Year. Fuller, who has been a technician for 31 years, was among 44 automotive professionals recognized at the Fall Board of Governors meeting of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

According to a press release issued by the ASE, the annual awards spotlight top scorers on the ASE Certification Tests from among the ranks of the more than 360,000 ASE-certified professionals nationwide. James Hwang, National Brand Manager of Motor Age Magazine; Mike Phillips, Chairman of the ASE Board of Directors; and Timothy Zilke, ASE President & CEO, presented the award to Fuller.

“Dan is one of the outstanding ASE-certified professionals recognized annually by different segments of the automotive service and repair industry,” Zilke said. “Each of these elite technicians is presented with an industry-specific award recognizing their achievement.”

He continued, “ASE has been honoring the best of the best in our industry for more than 40 years, and we are proud to once again recognize 44 outstanding individuals from all across the nation. This is all made possible by the support of our many award sponsors, whose ranks include some of the best-known names in the industry. We are proud to partner with Motor Age Training to recognize Dan’s commitment to excellence in providing the very best in vehicle repair services to his extended community, and for his work in helping to train and prepare young students for a career in the automotive service industry. This dedication is reflected in the talented professionals we recognize each year and Dan represents the best of the best.”
