GCC to Host “LEEDing the Way to Change” North Atlantic Symposium

On Friday, October 4, Gateway Community College (GCC) will host the Society for College and University Plannin  (SCUP) North Atlantic Symposium.

The symposium, which will showcase GCC’s new Church Street campus, focuses on the planning and development process involved in the building of the award-winning LEED Gold campus. Discussion topics include the history of the downtown campus, design and planning of an urban college campus, and an open discussion with students.

Speakers include: John DeStefano, Jr., Mayor, City of New Haven Connecticut; Robert J. Joy, Managing Principal, JMZ Architects and Planners, P.C.; Dorsey Kendrick, President, Gateway Community College (Connecticut); Alexandria Roe, Associate Vice President, Capital Planning & Budget, University of Wisconsin-System Administration.

Presenters and panelists include Tony Bialecki, Deputy Economic Development Director (Retired), City of New Haven Connecticut; Tulani Dial, President of the Student Honor Society, Gateway Community College (Connecticut); Toni N. Harp, State Senator, Connecticut General Assembly; Dorsey Kendrick, President, Gateway Community College (Connecticut); Martin M.
