Students First Forums on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to complete the survey on the community college consolidation at www.ct.edu/studentsfirst. Responses will be collected through November 20.

On Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 12 pm-2 pm, the Students First community college forum will be hosted at Capital Community College and simultaneously transmitted to the 11 sister campuses via WebEx.

  • Faculty, staff and students from the 12 colleges who can attend the session at Capital Community College in person are welcome
  • Each college is providing a room to simulcast the event so as many people as possible can participate from their home campuses   
  • Participants will have an opportunity to watch the session live and submit their questions via the Chat function
  • Several campuses will also be featuring the event on their Facebook pages
  • The forum will be recorded and posted on the CSCU website and the link emailed to all employees for future viewing

Gateway Community College will provide additional information on how to participate on-campus or via Facebook live prior to the event.    
 
A student forum will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 11 am-12:30 pm at Capital Community College to give students an opportunity to ask their specific questions and provide feedback on their needs for student services and other academic programs and supports. This event will also be recorded and hosted on college Facebook pages so students who can’t attend in person can participate electronically and any interested employees can view in the future as well.
