Students Inducted into Tau Alpha Pi Honor Society

Seventeen GCC students were inducted April 26 into the Connecticut Delta Chapter of Tau Alpha Pi National Honor Society, the national honor society for engineering technology. 

The students inducted were: Jean Acosta, Jawad Bazzari, Edison Betancur, Suleman Butt, Dennis Cruz, Sherril Dellacamera, Garrett Fuchs, Egnon Locoh, Bradford Martin, Mario Molina, Sophornary Oum, Aaron Phu, Peter Savino, Romelus Scott, John Sembrot, Kittipong Taweepthaisong and Mark Walsh. 

The Tau Alpha Pi National Honor Society is devoted to recognizing high standards of scholarship among students in two-year and four-year engineering technology programs throughout the country. Membership in this society is offered to students who have obtained academic excellence within their engineering technology programs.   

Officers for 2012-13 are President John Kier, Vice President Abdelkader El Idrysy and Secretary Mouroussalou Tchaniley. The chapter’s advisors are Professor Don Lostritto and Professor Cyprian Ukah.
