On Friday, April 1, 2016 Gateway Community College will host its third bi-annual Girls Rock conference. This year’s theme will be "confidence" and as the theme implies, will focus on encouraging, motivating and inspiring women to become more confident.

Girls Rock was first introduced by Gateway President Dorsey Kendrick to provide women with the tools they need to achieve their goals and to encourage them to dream big. The event also aims to provide them with a sense of purpose and direction.

Inspire Corps’ Organization Development Leader and Chief Inspiration Officer Jen Grace Baron will be the keynote speaker. Baron has been inspiring people for more than 20 years and has pioneered culture development in such companies as eBay and Johnson & Johnson.

Girls Rock will be held at 8:45 a.m. in GCC’s Community Room (N100). It will be co-sponsored by the Gateway Community College Foundation.
